"Street smart is better than academically smart!"

The above saying maybe true but academically smart, combined with street smart, will take you places.

I am Lorraine.  I grew up in the tropical country of the Philippines, where street smart people are always ahead (according to them).  I am neither street smart nor academically smart.

 

I have always been fascinated with money.  I like it.  I earn it.  I spend it.  I save.  I have a little, but would love to have more.

Being a Christian, I always felt guilty for aspiring to be rich.  I have thought and until now, felt that being a Christian and following Christ would mean giving up my pursuit to being financially free.  For me, being rich and being a Christian will never happen.

But as my journey through blogging, reading bible quotes, and reading financial articles and books, led me to a thought that God blesses all of us - rich or poor.  That whether I have or not, I still pray to God for the wonderful blessings He had always showered upon me.

This is what I've learned and what I will continually learn.  I have to admit that I am still on the start-up process and I hope you would take the journey with me.  I cannot guarantee instant gratification, instant cash and instantly becoming rich.

The journey will be rough, hard, difficult, frustrating, and could be ugly... just like life.  But with God on our side, it will all be alright.
